The hall of the gods book, got involved in a little controversy. Nigel did the rounds, publicizing the book launch, doing radio phone ins and press interviews. But sloppy reporting in one newspaper, completely misquoted or more than likely "made up" some stuff relating to Nigels views, which was pretty insulting to the Egyptians. The result was that some Egyptian guy, who was a custodian of the Ancient Egyptologically important site of "The Giza Plateau" withdrew his support, and therefore permission from the team.
The fallout from this unfortunate episode, resulted in the postponement of the Hermes Foundation Expedition to Egypt, The withdrawal of the book and a messy legal wrangle in the courts.

Good news is that the mission is back on track, but they're not going to put the mockers on it this time by publisising all over the place. And even more interesting news is the sequel to Hall Of The Gods is being written.
My advice is to get a copy of
Hall of The Gods, before they withdraw it again. My copy is hardback and
first edition 1988 with 420 pages. It cost me £16.99 from waterstones
in the local town centre.
I should think that the softback edition will be
out by now, which ought to be a little cheaper.
