Karaoke is held at the Albion Pub London Road Sheffield Saturday nights 8pm - 11pm

We take pictures of people singing and put them on this website, unless they object. The pub gets busy toward closing time in the later hour between 10 and 11 pm, at these times we get snowed under with requests, so best try to get in early. Please browse these web pages for a sense of what goes on, if you have sung, you should be able to find yourself here. If you have never sung before on Karaoke then you are a karaoke virgin, we will help you with your rite of passage.

Info- The work Karaoke is made from shortening two Japanese words Karappo (Empty) and Okesutora (Orchestra) And sticking them together to make Karaoke (Empty Orchestra). This is similar to the word Karate which means (Empty Hand)

In it's modern form Karaoke was invented in a snack bar in Kobe, Japan around the early 1970s, Legend has it that a singer-guitarist couldn't make his gig due to illness, so the owner put on some backing tapes and some of the customers took turns in singing along to the tunes.
