Every week Wookie Home, recieves stacks of e-mails asking what has happened
to the king of night time radio. Now this question can be partly answered
thanks to Manchester correspondants Sarah and Phil.
After being removed from his night time slot on Talk Sport Radio, He
emerged as the presenter of a football phone in on Century 105, but he
is now suspended from this job, after a clash with the radio station bosses.
Stalker Or Talker ???
It seems that James H. Reeve is moving from Manchester
to London and he took a flat in Chorlton - Cum - Hardy, so that when he
sells his house in Prestwich he can use the flat as a stop gap. And
the flat happens to be opposite a former girlfriend, a coincidence, he
claimed. He sent her a few anonymous e-mails, one of which said " howdy
neighbour ". After sending her a birthday card, and waving from across
the road, to reveal that he was the mystery messenger, she complained to
the Cops and six of them arrested him on stalking charges. They quizzed
him in the nick for nine hours, and now he is on police bail pending further
enquiries, and will learn weather he is to be charged on 1st Nov 2000.
So in summary, it appears that he may be considering working in London. Which is good news for the rest of the UK because a post here is more likely to be on a national station.
Update 11th March 2001
The saviour of night time radio, has been missing now for some time, and
many correspondants e-mail to ask me if I know about the whereabouts of JHR.
Well the latest information is that he has been involved
in making a film called Up U Man U. The cast includes the other celibrated
manc, Bernard Manning. And the there is said to be frequent coarse language
and some strong sex scenes.

Latest Update 23rd August 2005 - Thanks Simon
James Henderson Reeve is once again gracing the airwaves of the North West
presenting the late night programme on Piccadilly Key 103. Takes me back 15
yrs listening to him berating the idiots who phone in.
Time will tell if the old regulars such as Eric XX GMex will return too.
