Introduction
The Cleaved Earth Theory is a modern translation
of an ancient Sumerian story. I don't know if it is the true origin of
the planet Earth, but it is a very interesting idea. It is quite far fetched,
but it does tie up more loose ends than most of the competing orthodox
scientific theories.
The Sumerians
The Sumerians are said to be the first people
who advanced themselves into an organized civilization. In fact Sumer is
often called The Seat Of Civilization. They lived from about 6,000
years ago in cities, they invented writing, a jury system of justice
and they wrote about a pantheon of gods. And indeed are said to have invented
the wheel, advanced medicine, and the twelve signs of the zodiac as well.
A great many stone tablets ( tens of thousands!
) have been found, during this century in what is now Iraq, that originated
from the Sumerians from about 6000 years ago. They contain many stories
about the creation of the heavens and the earth, which are remarkably similar
to the biblical old testament stories. And A wealth of other information
about some of the earliest civilizations.
But
In the beginning, there was a large planet
in between Mars and Jupiter where the asteroid belt now is. This was the
watery planet Tiamat. And A huge planet called Marduk swept in to it on
it's 3,600 year eccentric orbit in the opposite direction. And smashed
Tiamat in half and flung it off course. It eventually coalesced to form
the Earth. The crust that was left became the side of the Earth where the
land mass was, and the torn side became the Pacific Basin.
The other debris and broken moons became the asteroid belt that is now between Mars and Jupiter. And the Earth's moon which was previously a large moon of one of the other planets got captured by the Earth. And that's why the moon displays battle, and major impact damage that is 4 million years old.
Imaging
Modern scientists and geologists have found
that, if the Earth is scanned as if it has all of it's oceans removed,
it is reminiscent of an apple with a chunk bitten out of it. And in addition,
seismic information reveals huge scar like cracks on the Pacific Ocean
floor.
Most people are aware that water covers about 70% of the surface of
the earth, but not that Half the surface of the earth lies between 3000
and 6000 metres below sea level. This means that the average earthly
environment is Deep under the ocean.
Other Information
The Sumerians had some pretty hot information
for their time. Remember they lived 6,000 years ago, we only found out
most of our detailed info about the outer planets in the last century.
They have left us diagrams of our solar system with all the planets. Including
the following spooky facts.
