The next bike I had after the Superdream was
a Suzuki GSX 250
This bike was bought for £100 in a non running
condition, but only needed a good clean to it's carbs, some fresh petrol,
a new battery and bumping up and down the carpark for three quarters of
an hour.
It was a lighter bike than
the superdream and had 8 valves running on double overhead camshafts and a central camchain, so was quicker of the mark. It was much
easier to throw around too, as Superdreams are a little top heavy. Feeling more like the weight of a 500cc bike
The first thing I did to
this bike was get some sporty handlebars, instead of the Pram type "sit
up and beg" ones which came as standard, this gave a much sportier feel
as you were leaned over more while riding.
