Covering Ecclesall Road, And Surrounding Streets
This area appears to be where the affluent
of the city do their shopping. Patsy and Eddy from Ab-Fab would feel right
at home. Also this is the tradditional home for students from Sheffield
City Polytechnic, ( Now Hallam University ). All the large houses along
the ajoining streets have been let to students.
At nights the drinking establishments are
often full to overflowing. A great site in the summer, the black cabs always
do a roaring trade! There are also a great deal of fast food outlets.

The Pomona - Ecclesall Road Dec 1999 This modern, open plan pub is surprisingly cosy, and stylish. They sometimes have a jazz band playing in the corner. |

On a bit of a back street, but well worth visiting. Lots of comfortable and cosy conservatory seating. And a massive car park, although why we still have car parks in pubs, in this day and age, is a vexing puzzle! |

Appeared in the mid 1990's in a former electrical contractors shop. A very busy addition to Ecclesall road's bustling pub scene. A hogshead house,
If you sit in the windowed section at the south end of the pub you can see the Porter Brook itself babbling by, below your feet! |

| The
Nursury
Tavern, has been rebuilt again. They have built a japanese pagoda garden
on the front, complete with stone seating made from concrete garden slabs.
The general consensus is that they've made a cobblers of a once good pub. There is now no snooker table, why do they have to mess with traditional and popular pubs? |
