winscale interview ( fox and duck )
Are you
still writing music or have you retired?
w - Since Winscale96 I've
been tied up with other things. There's still a lot of stuff we wrote then,
that hasn't been recorded yet.
Recently I was asked to get
something together, by the record shop where Gomez were discovered, for
a laugh. So i've been rehearsing for that. The Winscale96 line up started
in a similar way, and that turned into something pretty damned good.
Who are
your greatest influences?
w - I try to sit down with
the people I'm working with, on any particular project, and see what's
happening. Then I side step it, and see how we can add that "f***ing it
up" element, to add the humour while still retaining the integrity of what
the musicians have done. It seems to work. I especially like f***ing about
with blues jazz and rock, but I experiment.
Have
you grown up since the last band?
w - F*** **** get me a pint,
W****** !
